Kash Patel sits at the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation with a $1-5 million stake in a Chinese ecommerce giant, a pattern of covering up Donald Trump's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and a trail of FBI purges so extensive it has left the nation's top domestic terrorism, cybersecurity, and public corruption units hollowed out.
He is the most corrupt, unqualified, and dangerous FBI director in American history. This is the story of how he got there — and what he's done to the Bureau in less than a year.

Kash Patel attempting to make sense of his notes through his obvious hang over as congress grills him about the Epstein cover up.
The Epstein Cover-Up
In September 2025, Jamie Raskin, Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, put the question to Kash Patel directly: How many times does Donald Trump's name appear in the Epstein files?
Patel refused to answer.
When Rep. Ted Lieu asked whether Trump was on Epstein's client list, Patel flatly refused. "America, that's a huge red flag," Lieu told the chamber. "The FBI Director could not answer whether Donald Trump was on Epstein's client list."
This wasn't always Patel's position. Before becoming FBI Director, he appeared on right-wing podcaster Benny Johnson's show and told the world exactly why the Epstein files weren't being released: "[because of who's on that list]."
Now that he's in charge of the files, Patel has done exactly what he once claimed the previous administration was doing: covering them up.
At the September 2025 hearing, Republicans blocked four Democratic subpoenas that would have forced transparency on the Epstein case:
- Subpoenas for the CEOs of JP Morgan Chase, Bank of New York Mellon, Bank of America, and Deutsche Bank — banks that flagged $1.5 billion in suspicious transactions related to Epstein's sex trafficking crimes
- A subpoena for Trump Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to produce suspicious activity reports (SARs) on those transactions
- A subpoena for FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino to testify on the Epstein files cover-up
- A subpoena to the Bureau of Prisons on Ghislaine Maxwell's corrupt transfer to a minimum-security "country club" prison in Texas after her interview with Trump's former defense attorney and current Deputy AG Todd Blanche

FBI director Kash Patel shouts at members of Congress for second day - as Democrats pile on questions about Jeffrey Epstein
Rep. Eric Swalwell asked Patel whether he had reviewed all the Epstein files. Patel admitted he had not.
"You're the Director of the FBI," Swalwell said. "This is the largest sex trafficking case the FBI has ever been a part of. Buck stops at the top, and your testimony today is you have not reviewed all the files?"
Rep. Hank Johnson asked the question that cuts to the heart of it: "Why are you protecting pedophiles?"
When Patel claimed there was "no credible information" that Epstein trafficked women and girls to other powerful men, survivors of Epstein's abuse signed a statement blasting him. They knew better. The evidence exists. Patel is just refusing to release it.
And the reason isn't court orders — there are no court orders preventing release. Patel falsely claimed the documents were "under seal" when no such orders exist. Courts have actually encouraged the FBI and DOJ to release the files.
Patel is covering up Trump's ties to Epstein. The only question is why.
The Purge
Kash Patel didn't just cover up the Epstein files. He gutted the FBI.
In a February 2025 speech on the Senate floor, Democratic Whip Dick Durbin revealed whistleblower allegations that Patel — then a private citizen awaiting confirmation — was personally directing a purge of senior FBI officials from outside the government.
According to Durbin's sources, Patel was receiving information from within the FBI through a Director's Advisory Team, then providing direction to Stephen Miller, who relayed it to Acting Deputy AG Emil Bove. The goal: fire FBI employees faster than the DOJ was already firing prosecutors.
Contemporaneous notes from a January 29, 2025 meeting read: "KP wants movement at FBI, reciprocal actions for DOJ." Bove told attendees he'd received multiple calls from Miller the night before. Miller was pressuring him because Patel wanted the FBI to remove targeted employees faster.
The day after that meeting — the day Patel directed a purge from outside government — he testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee. When Senator Cory Booker asked whether he was "aware of any plans or discussions to punish in any way, including termination, FBI agents or personnel associated with Trump investigations," Patel answered: "I am not aware of that."
He lied.
Since taking office, Patel has:
- Fired Brian Driscoll, former acting director, who served the Bureau for nearly 20 years and earned a Medal of Valor for bravery during the dangerous ISIS raid
- Fired Steve Jensen, who served the FBI for nearly two decades and ran critical terrorism, counterintelligence, and organized crime operations — whom Patel once described as "embodying what the American public demands of the FBI"
- Fired Special Agent Steven Palmer, a 27-year FBI veteran who headed the Critical Incident Response Group overseeing the FBI jet fleet
- Purged some of the FBI's most experienced agents purely because they investigated crimes committed by Trump
The firings have hollowed out the FBI's capabilities:
- The Domestic Terrorism Operation Section — the unit responsible for preventing political violence — has been gutted, with decorated veteran agents fired and their tools scrapped
- Nearly every agent on Baltimore's domestic unit investigating child predators was diverted to immigration enforcement, forcing them to "walk away from investigations of a network of violent predators that targets and exploits children online"
- The FBI's Public Corruption Squad has been disbanded entirely
Lucy McBath, a Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, put it bluntly: "Earlier this year, you gutted the ranks of the FBI's Domestic Terrorism Operation Section... And instead of ensuring that this section has all the resources that it needs at a time when its mission is critical, you fired its decorated veteran FBI agents who have served their country proudly under Republican and Democratic presidents, and you scrapped the tools that they developed to fight domestic terrorism."
Patel told the Senate it would take 14 years before he could get the FBI fully staffed to do its job. In the meantime, he's firing the most qualified people and redirecting resources to play ICE agent on the streets.

Tell me with a straight face this bugged eyed freak is not on cocaine.
The Corruption
Kash Patel owns between $1 million and $5 million in stock from the parent company of Shein — a Chinese ecommerce giant with close ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
He received the stock as restricted stock units (RSUs) in exchange for consulting services to Elite Depot Ltd., a "fashion management company" registered in the Cayman Islands. Elite Depot is the parent company of Shein.
Patel told the Senate he has no plans to divest his stake if confirmed as FBI Director. His RSUs began vesting on February 1, 2025, and are paid out quarterly.
The FBI is charged with investigating economic espionage by companies controlled by the CCP — the same CCP that Patel now holds $1-5 million worth of stock in.
"If the FBI is charged with investigating economic espionage by companies controlled by the CCP, you've got a conflict of interest," Rep. Hank Johnson told Patel.
Rush Doshi, a professor at Georgetown University who specializes in China foreign policy issues and served on Biden's National Security Council, wrote: "These ties between Patel and Shein are truly shocking. Especially amid reports that DOJ/FBI is going to reduce focus on China influence efforts in the US."
Shein was under intense scrutiny in Washington over alleged unethical business practices when Patel began consulting for the company in April 2024. The company was struggling to obtain approval from financial regulators to go public in New York — until, suddenly, Trump took office and the scrutiny evaporated.
The timing isn't a coincidence.

Space Cadet Krash Patel looking spun out at a press conference. Tweet over lay: Kash Patel is actually the unqualified DIE hire MAGA is always raging about.
The Lack of Qualifications
Kash Patel has never served as an FBI agent. He has never served as a federal prosecutor at the senior level. He has slim executive branch experience and very limited federal law enforcement experience.
Past FBI directors have served in high-ranking positions at the Department of Justice prior to leading the FBI. By contrast, Patel's qualifications are virtually non-existent.
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) put it bluntly: "The Senate should reject Kash Patel's nomination for director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation because he is unqualified and because of his stated desire to use the FBI to seek retribution against his perceived political rivals."
High-ranking officials who worked with Patel during the first Trump administration fiercely opposed his employment in senior positions within the administration. They knew better than anyone that he wasn't qualified.
Sen. Dick Durbin, who has voted for four Republican FBI director nominations in his career, refused to vote for Patel. "Patel has neither the experience, the judgment, nor the temperament to lead this criminal investigative agency," Durbin said. "Let me be clear. This is not a partisan issue. During my time in the Senate, I have voted for four FBI Director nominations before this one. Each one was a Republican, and I voted for them, nevertheless."
Patel is the least qualified FBI director in history. That isn't an opinion — it's a fact. The opinion would be Krash Patel is the DEI hire MAGA is always crying about, or well Kash seems intent on proving that to be fact as well
The Debauchery
While millions of Americans struggled with skyrocketing healthcare costs, hunger, and missed paychecks during the Republican "Great Gatsby" shutdown, Kash Patel was using a $60 million government jet for personal leisure travel.
In October 2025, Patel chartered the FBI's Gulfstream G550 — a $62 million aircraft typically found in the fleets of billionaires — for an overnight trip to Pennsylvania to attend his girlfriend's concert at a wrestling match at Penn State University. He then used the same plane to fly her home to Nashville the next day.
That same weekend, Patel used the FBI jet to travel to "Boondoggle Ranch," a luxury Texas hunting resort that advertises itself as the perfect place to "waste money or time on unnecessary or questionable projects."
When the misuse of government aircraft became public through flight records and his girlfriend's social media posts, Patel lashed out at staff — firing Special Agent Steven Palmer, the 27-year FBI veteran who led the Bureau's Critical Incident Response Group.
Days after the firing, Reagan National Airport faced bomb threats that grounded flights for over an hour, while CIRG remained destabilized by Patel's retaliatory firing of its third leader that year.
Patel attempted to cover his tracks by shielding the FBI's plane from public flight-tracking databases and continued using the aircraft for personal travel to Nashville — publicly defending the trips as motivated by "love of family."
He has also been accused of flying with "four or five friends" to Scotland for a private golf trip using taxpayer funds.
These aren't isolated incidents. In May 2025, the Senate Judiciary Committee called out Patel for using a DOJ Boeing 757 to attend hockey matches and fight nights with his girlfriend and celebrities. He's been accused of taking boxes of alcohol aboard the flights.
Meanwhile, the FBI is seeking to acquire a new $80 million jet for Patel's use. This comes after Patel was caught on camera bragging that, as FBI Director, he "has two" private jets, just like his rich buddies.
Patel has also come under scrutiny for assigning SWAT teams to protect his girlfriend — yet another misuse of taxpayer-funded resources.
The Elephant in the Room
Kash Patel is here for a reason, in this position for a reason, and doing the damage he is doing for a reason.
The goal is quite clear.
- Cover up the Epstein scandal and its connections to Donald Trump and other Republican figures.
- Gut the FBI so it has no power to pursue Epstein charges or investigations once he is gone.
- Cover up any investigation related to the insider trading within in the Trump administration.
- To set the stage for a more corrupt, more professional figure to take over.
- Just like Bovino, Noem and Bondi; Kash Patel is just another fall guy, a patsy in this hijacking of the federal government.
Once his damage is done, he will be fired, disgraced and tossed to the side like the piece of trash he truly is. But the damage he caused will remain. His predecessor will be more corrupt. And the evidence of the crimes of the Trump regime will be lost to this stooges work.
The Complete Picture
Kash Patel is corrupt, unqualified, and dangerous. He is:
- Covering up Trump's ties to Epstein by blocking subpoenas, refusing to release files, and lying about court orders
- Purging the FBI of its most experienced agents for political revenge, hollowing out domestic terrorism, cybersecurity, and public corruption units
- Holding $1-5 million in stock in a Chinese company with CCP ties while the FBI is supposed to be investigating CCP economic espionage
- Abusing taxpayer-funded government jets for personal leisure, lavish vacations, and romantic getaways
- Lacking the qualifications to lead the FBI — never served as an agent, never served as a senior federal prosecutor
- Using the FBI's vast law enforcement and surveillance apparatus to settle political scores
- Patel told the Senate it would take 14 years before he could get the FBI fully staffed. In the meantime, he's made Americans less safe by:
- Firing the top officials who oversee the FBI's work combatting international and domestic terrorism
- Diverting agents from child predator investigations to immigration enforcement
- Disbanding the Public Corruption Squad
- Using FBI resources to protect his girlfriend and fly his friends to golf tournaments
- Patel is just a fall guy, the media cycle will make you forget about his crimes, and his treason.
"Mr. Patel's need to punish his perceived enemies is apparently greater than his interest in protecting the American people," Durbin said.
Patel has left behind a trail of grievances throughout his life, lashing out at anyone who dares to disagree with him or fails to respect him sufficiently. Now he's using the FBI to do it.
The FBI is an agency that plays a critical role in keeping us safe from terrorism, violent crime, and other threats. Our nation needs an FBI director who understands the gravity of the mission, not someone who is focused on settling a political score.
Kash Patel is not that person. He is the most corrupt, unqualified, and dangerous FBI director in American history.
And that's not an exaggeration. That's a fact.
