#OpMyanmar was launched by #K3yhol3Sec in early December in response to the genocide of the Rohingya Muslim community. You might be wondering why you have not heard of this operation or the genocide in which it is responding to. The genocide while covered by MSM sources, has been twisted into a way to justify the brutal murders.  As hackers worked to attempt to expose this humanitarian crisis they quickly found their hash-tag #OpMyanmar out right blocked on facebook. Radical Edward sits down with a member of K3yhol3 Sec to discuss the details of this operation.

Exclusive Interview With K3yhol3~Sec

Radical Edward had the chance to get an exclusive interview with Amber Suzumiya, a founding member of K3yhol3 Security, about Operation Myanmar. K3yhol3 Security was started by many members of Operation Icarus as it came to an end in 2016. Like #OpIcarus, this group tends to attack high profile targets like central banking agencies, exchanges, and government websites - all of which are directly connected to the problem they are fighting against. The group says the cyber attacks are both a means to fight the injustices, as well as to raise awareness about the issues they are fighting against. "We are the voices of the voiceless."

Radical Edward (UTM): Greetings Amber, it's good to see you again. I have been following both this group and operation since the start, however many are unfamiliar. For starters, can you tell our readers exactly what Operation Myanmar is?

Amber Suzumiya (K3yhol3~Sec): It is an effort to expose the crimes of the Myanmar government and extremist monks. What crimes is that you ask - quite simply ethnic cleansing. A genocide, but for what purpose. The first part has been covered by the main stream media more or less, although the narrative has been severely softened. The second part of this however is largely untouched in coverage.

UTM: Can you tell us a bit about what the government is up to, and about these extremist monks. To be honest I had to look Myanmar up on the map when this operation started. I know a lot of our readers probably have no idea what is going on over there. With the main stream media softening reports, can you shed some light on what is actually happening?

(KHS): The prime minister of Myanmar (Burma) is Aung San Suu Kyi. She studied in Oxford and after her education she decided to go back to her country and bring democracy there, changing the regime from military to republic, she was prisoned for this attempt. She was given a Nobel Peace Prize for her work. The world will remember a similar story about Benazir Butto of Pakistan. However, there is a difference between these two women. While Butto did not obey the orders of the 'establishment' and got killed, Kyi has been totally obedient and compliant with this agenda. She deserves an applause from her military forces and extremist monks.

Burmese people's religion are mainly Buddhism, however these monks aren't those kinds of Buddhists. Not the ones you would think of as peaceful. They are extremists and they aim to continue to rule the country of Myanmar as the religious arm. These monks don't want minorities who have other types of believes. Tibetian buddhists and Dalai Lama do not recognise these extremist monks. Despite the fact that other monks want to get rid of the responsibility by stating they don't recognise them, these are registered monks and the Myanmar government fully supports them, and allows for their crimes to go unpunished. In Southern Myanmar, there is a part of land close to Bangladesh which does not actually belong to the Myanmar government, but to bankers and corporations. On these lands, is where the Rohingya Muslims live. Rohingya is an ethnic minority from the Bangladesh area.

UTM: I did a good bit of reading a few days ago about the situation - turns out it is very complex. It seems like the Muslims of this people are subjected to much the same treatment as the Palestinians in their own land by oppressive occupation forces. What are some of the instances of genocide carried out by the government?

KHS: Rohingyas are an ethnic group living in different countries. The majority of them live in Myanmar with a population of over 1 million people (roughly 2% of the total Myanmar population). The Myanmar government, along with the majority population of Buddhists, don't want Muslim groups in "their lands", however the Rohingyas are indigenous to Rakhine State. In the Rakhine state (old name Arakan), the local group adopted Muslim religion when Islam spread in the continent. The Myanmar government attempts to force a Bengalese identity onto these Rohingya people, however these people don't even speak Bengalese. This identity was forced onto them after Myanmar won its independence from Britain on the 4th of January 1948. However it is documented that the Rohingya have been living in this land as early as the mid 15th century. The Myanmar government's answer has been to try to push these people out of the Rakhine state, towards Bangladesh. When they try to immigrate to Bangladesh, through illegal sea trips in primitive boats, Bengalese soldiers push them back to the sea - however if they go back to Myanmar, death is awaiting them. This genocide does not exclude children of any age. It has been government politics as well to tell monks that Rohingya are Bengalese and they don't have a place in Myanmar. The lands Rohingya live on are rich with ruby and jade as well as natural gas and oil.

The corporations, bank owners, Myanmar government, NATO countries, Australia and India all have interests in these lands. In just the last month alone, 22,000 Rohingya fled into Bangladesh to escape genocide.

UTM: Also sounds like these monks, from what you say, rule as the religious arm in much the same sense as the Vatican or political Zionists have throughout history - both of which have been known to dabble in open genocide. It seems oppressive governments working hand in hand with religious extremists is a common theme these days. Can you tell us some more about these extremist Buddhist Monks, and the role they are playing in all of this?

KHS: These extremist monks have connections with other extremist monk groups in Sri Lanka. They are groups such as the Ma Tha Ba and the 969 Movement. Sitagu Sayadaw, founder and leader of the 969 Movement, is extremely racist and toxic to the tense atmosphere. He has been called the Burmese Bin Laden, and is known to use propaganda and fear tactics to promote hate, violence, and Islamophobia in Myanmar. He is one of the most powerful monks - if not the most powerful monk - in all of Myanmar. He says that Muslims in Myanmar should be confined and fenced with razor blade wires like pigs and bulls, similar to what Israel does to Palestinians and Arabs - something he personally witnessed during his visit to Israel. He says that when Israel does these things no one dares to speak out against them, however in Myanmar, he says, when they do the same there is a lot of backlash. His promotion of racism and Islamophobia is disgusting, nauseating, and must be condemned. They are also supported, of course, by the NATO forces and the UN, which in typical fashion enables the process with its methods of so-called intervention. Supporting such violent racism, one wonders how Ms. Kyi got a Nobel Peace Prize...

UTM: The prime minister of Myanmar (Burma) is Aung San Suu Kyi.

KHS: The UN has been watching the genocide without issuing any resolution or annex about the problem. At this point in time as we speak, a representative from the UN for Asia is on her second day visit in Myanmar. (this is her 5th visit to the country for these purposes) She will be visiting the "critical areas" during a 12 day tour. The UN has stated they will be issuing a report about the situation in March, however that is far to late for just some report about the situation. We feel the UN is complacent in the murder of thousands. The UN merely issues statements and fails to take any action against the government of Myanmar, they [The United Nations] also take their time with this issue as if there is no sort of humanitarian crisis taking place, although they them selves have labeled it as such.  International humanitarian organizations also fail to take any action.

UTM: Well this is certainly one complex situation - personally you can expect to see me aiding in the exposure aspect of this with a few more articles getting into the dirty facts of what we discussed here. This certainly warrants an operation against the aggressors. That's what you guys have done with Keyhole Security, or as you spell it K3yhol3~Sec. This is one of 2 of the first operations that launched with the forming of this group. Can you start off by telling us a bit about K3yhol3?

KHS: Keyhole Security actually has a longer history than the few months since it took its name. Keyhole Sec is the old Icarus Collective crew who have challenged the corporations, stock exchanges, banks, the 1%, and secret organizations who rule the world. It is an experienced crew with continuous, non-stop operations. It continues its mission wherever it sees oppression, corruption and injustice happening.

UTM: Now #OpMyanmar is 1 of 2 of the first operations of this group. This operation is sort of a 2 part thing - there are the cyber attacks of course, that we will get to later. But there is also the exposure aspect. This has been quite the struggle, as I have seen myself. A huge censorship effort on the part of Facebook to block references to what is going on - specifically the operation hashtag #OpMyanmar is outright banned. Can you tell me how that unfolded, and what you guys are doing to counteract that censorship?

KHS: We have been keeping Myanmar government servers offline, alongside the central bank, several private banks, and trade networks through mainly DDoS methods. In early December, together with Hacker Paulu, we were able to keep their servers shut for more than a week. Meanwhile we have been posting about what has been happening in Myanmar with the images. That was about when Operation South Africa lost the event page for Op Myanmar. We also lost our page for Keyhole Security twice. Following these losses we relaunched the event twice and lost the events and the new page very quickly.

It has been impossible to tag the hashtag for Op Myanmar with any combination we used. No matter what has been happening with the persistent Facebook censorship, we have been tweeting our tangos and sharing them on our pages and other related pages for the world to hear - there are at least some people out there who are willing to fight for the people who are oppressed and have lost their voices to tell the world what is happening.

While cyber attacks are a way to strengthen our message to the world, we should all stand up against wrongdoings and killings especially those of children, which can never be justified or normalized. We have a long way to go to tell the world what is happening there. At the moment, Asian media is insufficient to send the necessary message. The world follows what is happening there through the Main Stream Media, but MSM works as controlled opposition and does not give everything - leaving out an important chunk of the reality. The world needs to know why these killings are happening. Every war and injustice by the hands of the strongest people of the world are always based on financial reasons. The Myanmar genocide is no exception. The lands where Rohingya live are rich with oil, gold and rubies. The government, multinational bankers, corporations and NATO forces (basically India and Australia have investments there) want to clear the lands of these people.

ARM: So while Facebook has added a layer of complexity to this operation, it certainly has not stopped you guys, nor even slowed you down. You guys have waged full on cyber warfare against the government of Myanmar. What are some of the targets you guys have been going after, and what are some of the big targets you have hit already?

KHS: We make sure to maintain tango-down status from the Burmese finance sector since they are part of the funding body for the genocide. Also they let corporations and banks exploit their people's resources while lining their own pockets. This is why we make sure the financial sector, especially banks, lose money through being offline and not able to do online transactions.

Here the message we are trying to give is this:

Human life is not for sale and life itself is above everything and sacred, therefore must be protected. We will make sure they keep losing money until they understand it. By being offline, they also lose their future customers - not able to even keep their pages running properly, they lose the trust of the customers to invest their money in their companies.

We also make sure to keep government targets offline. I will provide you with a list of the big name tangos we have hit, but all in all there are over 400 websites we have attacked so far.

ARM: Well there is certainly quite a lot going on with this operation, as well as on the ground in Myanmar. A very complex situation indeed - hopefully our readers will have a pretty good understanding of what is going on over there. I would like to thank you for taking the time to speak with us about this situation. Are there any final words you want to leave our readers with?

KHS: This is one of the best examples - open and clear - why we as world citizens need to unite against oppressions and the so-called elite of the world who enslave the rest of us. They remove everyone getting in their way to prevent them from what they want. Today Syrians, Palestinians, Iraqis, Afghans, Rohingya - tomorrow maybe you and I. This is the time we need to put our efforts to speak up, stand up and resist against all these wrongdoings and make the necessary changes in the world to bring justice. We all deserve a better world and a life.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Operation Myanmar (#OpMyanmar)?
Operation Myanmar is a hacktivist campaign launched by K3yhol3~Sec (Keyhole Security) in early December 2016 in response to the ongoing genocide of the Rohingya Muslim community in Myanmar. The operation combines DDoS cyber attacks against Myanmar government and financial targets with an awareness campaign to expose the ethnic cleansing.
Who are the Rohingya people?
The Rohingya are an ethnic Muslim minority group indigenous to the Rakhine State (formerly Arakan) in Myanmar. With a population of over 1 million in Myanmar (roughly 2% of the total Myanmar population), they have historical roots in the region dating back to the mid-15th century. The Myanmar government has refused to recognize them as citizens, attempting to force a Bengalese identity onto them despite the fact they don't speak Bengalese.
Why was the #OpMyanmar hashtag blocked on Facebook?
As K3yhol3~Sec worked to raise awareness about the Rohingya genocide, they found that their hashtag #OpMyanmar was outright blocked on Facebook. The operation's event pages were repeatedly removed, and the group lost its Keyhole Security page twice. Despite Facebook's censorship, the group continued sharing information via Twitter and other platforms, tweeting targets they took down and sharing images of the genocide.
What cyberattacks did K3yhol3~Sec carry out in Operation Myanmar?
K3yhol3~Sec targeted over 400 websites including Myanmar government servers, the central bank, several private banks, and trade networks primarily through DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) methods. Together with Hacker Paulu, they kept Myanmar government servers shut for more than a week. The group focused on the financial sector to send a message that human life is not for sale.
