We live in a world where our technological sophistication is expanding exponentially. As our technological capabilities grow, so does our freedom. We can now communicate across the globe instantaneously and travel across it in mere hours. Human beings are evolving every day, and for the first time in history, evolution has become a conscious choice — we are in control of our own. We now have new methods of producing clean drinking water for those in need, and can offer free, unlimited clean energy, circumventing anyone who would charge us for it. The possibilities are endless; we find ourselves limited only by the pitfalls of humanity, such as greed, selfishness, and the desire for control.
As our capabilities advance, so does the ability of those in power to oppress the general population — through everything from NSA spying to drone strikes, local police surveillance, fascist nanny-state laws, and the suppression of technology that could free us from the clutches of oppression. The list of facets of the modern police state goes on and on. Most of these efforts are nothing more than a thinly veiled illusion of control built entirely on fear. In other words, they're designed to make you afraid — and many people, even those who claim to be awake, never bother to question whether that fear is justified.

If you're reading this, or are already aware of the things I'm writing about, you're probably ready for a revolution yourself, sick and tired of an elite cult herding billions of people like sheep. Most of you have read about past and present revolutions and resistance movements. Almost all of the violent revolutions in history didn't last — before long, the countries where they took place were right back where they started within a generation or two. You can change the government, but you cannot change the human heart responsible for the corruption that created the need for revolution in the first place. So what is it we're actually resisting? Who, or what, is the enemy? These are important questions to ask ourselves if we want real, lasting change instead of repeating history yet again. The last thing the world needs is more violence, murder, and hatred.
Resistance in the Context of a Totalitarian Police State
What does it mean to resist a totalitarian police state? To answer that, we first have to recognize what the system is built on. The answer is simple: fear. Fear is what we're resisting. Looking closely, we realize we aren't resisting anything outside ourselves — we're responsible for this police state by allowing the fear tactics to work. Past and present resistance movements have relied heavily on firearms; today, resistance movements in Western countries are beginning to take on an entirely new form. From Black Bloc to Occupy Wall Street, our tactics are beginning to evolve.

Nonviolence is not a weapon of the weak. It is a weapon of the strongest and bravest. — Mahatma Gandhi
One common thread running through all the movements I've mentioned is that none of them rely on firearms or violence. Some may argue that Black Bloc tactics are violent — I disagree.
