Wael Al-Dahdouh spoke to a fellow Al Jazeera reporter after the incident
Wael Al-Dahdouh: "There is no safe place in Gaza at all, and no one is safe. No one is safe from the aggression or the treachery of the occupation.
This is a profession of troubles wherever you follow it."
AJ: "Do you think your coverage has angered the armies of the occupation?"
Wael Al-Dahdouh: "Everything is possible these days; all red lines have been crossed by the occupation army. This is probable.
Everywhere we work, our camera catches what happens."
AJ: "Would you pursue legal action for the murder of your family?"
Wael Al-Dahdouh: "Let's see what happens after surgeries, and we bury our dead."

Al-Dahdouh's family had been residing in Gaza City and had evacuated to the Nuseirat refugee camp, following Israel's directives to move southward. Tragically, they were not spared from the airstrikes that have disproportionately impacted civilians in Gaza. Al Jazeera Arabic reported that the casualties of Israeli air raids predominantly included civilians who had relocated to the southern regions of the Gaza Strip as per Israeli orders. The situation remains fluid, with ongoing rescue operations to extract individuals trapped in the aftermath of the attack. The devastating incident has further underscored the human toll of the conflict in the region.
